Saturday Cleaning Day

Dear Amazing Newton County Steam Academy Parents,

We can't express enough how grateful we are for your unwavering commitment to our school community. Your dedication to the success of our students shines bright, and we're truly fortunate to have you as part of our PTO family.

As we gear up for our monthly Saturday Cleaning Day, we wanted to take a moment to explain why we limit participation to one slot per family. First and foremost, it's because we want to ensure that as many families as possible have the opportunity to complete their required volunteer hours. We understand that juggling busy schedules can be a challenge, and we want to make it fair for everyone to participate. By offering one spot per family, we're spreading the volunteer love far and wide!

On Cleaning Day, you'll be making our school shine by wiping down commonly touched surfaces like desks, chairs, doors, countertops, and door handles. Your dedication to keeping our learning environment safe and hygienic is invaluable, and we appreciate it immensely.

On Cleaning Day, you'll be helping keep our school in tip-top shape by wiping down commonly touched surfaces like desks, chairs, doors, countertops, and door handles. Some teachers will leave notes on their door as a guideline to which tasks need to be accomplished in their classroom. Your dedication to keeping our learning environment safe and hygienic is invaluable, and we appreciate it immensely. The PTO will provide the necessary surface cleaners, but please remember that these cleaners should never be used on the large active panels. These are the giant whiteboard-looking devices (usually on a stand with wheels) that our teachers use as interactive computer screens. Let's ensure they stay in pristine shape!

And here's some exciting news: we're opening up an additional 20 spots for Cleaning Day! This expansion will not only help beautify the outside of our school but also give more families the opportunity to earn hours. We're thrilled to see our community come together to make Newton County Steam Academy the exceptional school it is.

Your time served on Cleaning Day will earn you valuable volunteer hours, up to maximum of two hours. If you can only make it for an hour, you will earn a one hour credit. Your dedication truly makes a difference, and we want to ensure that every family has a chance to participate.

Stay tuned for the sign-up links, which will be posted the weekend before Cleaning Day. Let's come together as a community and continue to make Newton County Steam Academy the exceptional school it is.

Thank you for being the driving force behind our school's success. Your enthusiasm and support mean the world to us!
